REBRAND CAMPAIGN

For this project, completed for my Writing for Advertising course at Fitchburg State University, I developed a rebrand campaign for Forever 21 focused on reconnecting the brand with Gen Z consumers. The campaign, “Rediscover The Rush,” reimagines the excitement of Forever 21’s original treasure-hunt shopping experience by blending nostalgic storytelling with modern digital marketing strategies.

I conducted audience research, developed the campaign concept and messaging, and created a strategic plan that included refreshed visual branding, creator partnerships, and experiential retail designed to drive both online and in-person engagement. The final campaign plan outlines goals, target audience insights, creative direction, and tactical executions aimed at rebuilding brand loyalty and repositioning Forever 21 as a trend-driven and culturally relevant fashion destination.

I identified a key challenge in Forever 21’s brand growth and explored shifts in brand perception among Gen Z consumers. Drawing inspiration from the brand’s early 2000s peak, I reimagined its orginal energy through a modern lens, blending nostalgia with current fashion and cultural trends.

The campaign takes a Y2K-inspired direction, updated with a softened yellow palette paired with warm brown tones to create a more elevated, contemporary feel while maintaining a youthful identity. I also developed a simplified submark for Forever 21 to support minimal, flexible branding across digital and print applications.

The results are a cohesive creative direction that balances nostalgia, trend analysis, and modern visual identity to reposition the brand for today’s audience.

Campaign Visual Direction
